Assurance Manager

The Pun Group, LLP is seeking an Assurance Manager to join our fast-growing well-established regional firm. This position serves as liaison between the engagement partner, the client, and the professional staff and is generally responsible for all phases of the engagement. As part of a team, he/she will manage multiple client engagements simultaneously. This leadership role has a significant impact on the success of the firm, managing the profitability of engagements, training and developing people, and delivering exceptional client service.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a high level of technical proficiency in the assurance area.
- Possess a comprehensive knowledge of U.S. Accounting Principles Generally Accepted, Auditing Standards Generally Accepted (GAAS) and other professional standards.
- Demonstrate the ability to research complex accounting issues.
- Take responsibility for all technical aspects on engagements.
- Adhere to both firm and professional standards based on results measured by internal inspections and peer review.
- Act as a technical resource and provide assistance to staff as needed.
- Take a leadership role in team building and monitoring progress.
- Develop and maintain positive client relationships.
- Supervise effectively, recognize capabilities of subordinates, and provide adequate on the job training, including assimilating new hires into the firm.
- Promote and implement the firm’s efficiency initiatives on all client assignments.
- Closely manage individual productivity (i.e. realization, utilization, and engagement efficiency).
- Seek opportunities to leverage work and utilize appropriate technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Accounting.
- 4-6 years of public accounting experience.
- CPA certification.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams.
- Strong communication, research, analytical and writing skills.
- Solid organization skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
- Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities are a must.
